Blues

One of the most important ingredients into what was to become Rock music.

With the roots of of Blues embedded in the history of the Black slavery, the music evokes love, hardtimes, inequality and suffering.

The basic music structure of Blues is easy to understand, often founded on three simple guitar chords (E, A and B7), which became the foundations of Rock music progressions.

The Grandfathers of Blues, such as Johnny Lee Hooker, BB King, Muddy Waters and many other, were able to play infinite variations of the basic chord pattern, generatting many types of rhythms and tempos.

The Blues, spawned its proper children, with the R'n'B, Motown and Rock.
