Boston

From USA

Listed under : Rock 1971-1980

The band were around for a few years, but I guess the too long intervals between albums pushed the group slowly into the shadows.

The album "Don't Look Back", has some of the best guitar riffs ever, created by Tom Scholz.

Mike B : Boston was created by electrical engineer Tom Scholtz in the mid 70s. During his time at MIT he developed guitar amplifier technology that would spawn the classic Boston guitar sound. Since he had varying interests in the technology behind the sound, he was not in a rush to put out albums. After their two best selling albums "Boston" and "Don't Look Back" the spacing between albums pushed them out of the limelight. Although they have put out albums in the 90s and 2005, they do not get active radio play. Their lead singer, Brad Delp, recently passed away. If you are a fan of guitar driven rock (and who isn't), you should check out the first two albums.
