Cheaptrick

From USA

Listed under : Rock 1971-1980

Jimmy : I noticed that Cheap Trick wasn't listed in the groups and artists page.
Cheap Trick although not popular in the United States they were HUGE in Europe and mostly Japan. They are famous for a couple of songs they did for the TopGun soundtrack.

    Members
  • Rick Nielsen : guitars
  • Robin Zander : voices, guitars
  • Bun E. Carlos : drums
  • Tom Petersson : basses

Mike B : Cheap Trick are a classic American rock band. Led by enigmatic guitarist Rick Nielson, the driving drum work of Bun E Carlos and the silky voice of Robin Zander, they fashioned a huge following in the late 70s and early 80s with great rockers like "Southern Girls", "Stiff Competition", "Dream Police" and their biggest hit "Surrender". They took the airwaves by storm with their album "Live at Budokon" and the hit "I Want You to Want Me".
They are still making albums today with the original classic line-up. I recommend giving a listen to their first three albums "Cheap Trick", "In Color" and especially "Heaven Tonight".
