Eurythmics

From UK

Listed under : Pop Rock 1981-1990

Talent and persistance from both Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox, drove this group through various formations into international recognition.

The first formation was called The Catch, who released one single called Bordeline. Adding members to the line up, they changed names for the Tourist, releasing a couple of albums such as Reality Effect the beginnings of success... The single "I only want to be with you"

In 1981, with a the final name and style, The Eurytmics, released the album "In the Garden", the singles Never gonna cry, followed by This is the House and then The Walk.

After some heavy personal problems, the group released, Love is a Stranger and the Sweet Dreams. Success.

Anyone else see the group when they were called the Tourtist ? I did in the early 80's at West Runcton Pavillion.
