Iron Maiden

From

Listed under : Hard Rock 1980-1990

A.C. : The original line-up for Iron Maiden was Steve Harris on bass, Dave Murray on guitar, Dennis Stratton on guitar, Clive Burr on drums, and Paul Di'Anno on vocals. I'm not sure if there were previous members, but this was the roster for their first album, Iron Maiden.

For their second album, Killers, guitarist Dennis Stratton was replaced by Adrian Smith. For their third studio album, ground-breaking The Number of the Beast, vocalist Paul Di'Anno is replaced by who is probably the biggest reason Iron Maiden got so popular and famous ( aside from Steve Harris and Eddie ), Bruce Dickinson.

The fourth album, Piece of Mind, featured a replacement for drummer Clive Burr in Nicko McBrain. The fifth, Powerslave, had no new recruits, as well as Live After Death and Somewhere In Time.

Those are all of the albums I have for Iron Maiden, but after Somewhere In Time there's Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, No Prayer for the Dying, Fear of The Dark, A Real Live/Dead One, Live at Donnington, The X-Factor, The Best of the Beast, Brave New World, Virtual XI, Rock In Rio, and Dance of Death.

That's pretty much the correct album order, maybe a couple of mistakes. I don't know the replacements for the 90's, except Bruce was replaced by Blaze Bayley (not sure if that's spelled right), only to return later for (I think) Brave New World.

That's about all I can muster; I'm 13, haven't had anything to eat, went to bed at 3:00 A.M. and woke up at 8:00 A.M.. NEED SLEEP!!! And food. I'll be back later (maybe) to submit more. Later.

Chris : Fans might like to know that Bruce Dickinson has a new career as a DJ on the BBC, hosting (amongst others) a show called Monsters of Rock on BBC Radio 2: Check the following link
