Basic facts : he was born Johnny Allen Hendrix born at 10:15 am, King County Hospital, Washington. 27 Nov 1942, name was then changed to Name legally changed to James Marshall Hendrix. Jimi died 18th September 1970 in London

Coco : He grew up with a poor family and his parents did not have enough money to get him into music as a child. Jimi spent his childhood pretending to play the guitar on a broomstick that he was meant to be sweeping the house with! When Jimi reached his teens, his father bought him his first guitar. Jimi knew that lessons were out of the question so he started teaching himself. The fabulous Jimi Hendrix could never actually read music, it was all from memory. He took great pride in that fact that he never played a song the same way twice. Cam: Jimi sadly died of asphyxiation due to inhalation of vomit (barbiturate intoxication) on the 18th September 1970. He will always be sadly missed for centuries to come.
