Leeann : gives us all the info Date of Birth: 14th September 1947, Dallas, Texas, USA Real Name: Meat used to be called Marvin Lee Aday but had it legally changed to Michael, after was the Levis slogan: "Poor Marvin Can't Wear Levis"!!! So, of course he was upset about it. (who wouldnt be?) How Meat got his well-known nameMeat got his name from his dad Wesley, as Meat was a BIG kid. Even though that is true there are a couple of stories about he got his name 2 are: He had a bet with a kid to get his head run over and the kid says, You know something, you're as dumb as a hunk of Meat Loaf"!!! (Nice, Huh??) Another one is that a football coach once said "Get off my team, you big hunk of meat loaf" Both of these did happen but WE already know how he got his name!!! Acting & Movies Meat Loaf is perhaps best well known for his record breaking album "Bat out of Hell" and his number one hit single "I'd do anything for love" but he has said in interviews "I thought I would get an oscar before ever winning a grammy, too bad they proved me wrong".
