Cobain was born on the 20th of February 1967 in Hoquaim, died on April 5th 1994.

Their music changed the Rock and Roll scence with such influential songs as "Smells like teen spirit", "Come as you are", "Heart shaped box" and the previously released/unreleased title before the end "You know your right".

Stephen Howarth : First Single "Love Buzz" on Sub Pop records followed by the album Bleach, again on Sub Pop. The album had only 1000 copies printed.

The Album Nevermind was released in 1992 on Geffen and reached Number 1 on the Billboard charts. This featured the newly hired drummer Dave Grohl now the front man for the Foo Fighters. The title "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was thought of after Kurt's Girlfriend's friend wrote "Kurt smells like teen spirit" on his wall. This was associated with the fact that his girlfriend (Tobi) used a deodorant called Teen Spirit. Most of Nevermind's songs were written about Tobi. (Despite public opinion, Kurt did not live under a bridge as he claims in Something In The Way) Incesticide, a b-side album, was released an entered the Billboard charts at 51 despite containing no new material. In Utero was a more raw Nirvana with some of Kurt's most autobiographical lyrics including: "I tried hard to have a father but instead I had a dad"

There was much disagreement with Geffen about how much editing should be done. It was originally supposed to have been called "I Hate Myself And Want To Die" (Kurt was commenting on how he hated being a junkie) and the "Verse, Chorus, Verse".

Unkown : Kurt Cobain was the Elvis for people who thought Heavy Metal and Hip Hop were a joke! Cobain was what you would call lazy, sick, stinky, weird, punk; and thats what rock needed! The other band mates of Nirvana will never be able to live down Kurt Cobain and Nirvana, but give it up for Dave Grohl for trying. The fact is Cobain and Nirvana are and forever will be known as the Grunge band that saved Rock from Hip Hop for years!!!

Orville Lee : Nirvana was one of those entities that was so chaotic and dysfunctional yet so pure at the same time. Rock will never see someone like this who sang as he lived. No need to analyze how he left this earth but what he did on it was what should be his legacy.

??? : Kurt was born on the 20th of February 1967 in Hoquaim, a small town 140 kil. South-West of Seattle. Kurt's parent's divorced when he was eleven. He became very anti-social after his parent's divorce. This later fuelled the anger in his band 'Nirvana'

On March the 4th Kurt was rushed into a hospital in a coma after an unsuccessful suicide bid with painkillers and champagne. This was officially called and 'accident' and wasn't made known to even close friends. Kurt's wife and friends convinced him to enter a detox program in L.A. After only a few days in the program, Kurt fled.

Days later, (April 5th) Kurt barricaded himself into a granny flat behind his mansion. He put his shotgun in his mouth and pulled the trigger. Two days after Kurt's body was found about 5,000 people gathered in Seattle for a candlelight vigil. Several distressed teenagers in the U.S. and Australia killed themselves. After his suicide "Nirvana" received a lot of publicity. I think if he had know that after his death his band would be more popular than when he was alive, he would have been disappointed.
