Queen

From UK

Listed under : Hard Rock

Kings and Queens make the history of nations, this group of four are no different.

They created the group in 1971 releasing the Album Queen 1, followed by Queen II, and in 1975 one of their best albums "A NIGHT AT THE OPERA", with the single Bohemian Rhapsody. Pue talent, they did it all, huge venues, video, sound tracks and the rest.

Orville Lee : Queen was a band that symbolized the excessive and over the top showmanship that characterized the decadent 70s. They were a rock band that tampered with disco, funk, pop, and operatic sounds.

Freddie Mercury was the ultimate leader part singer, part showman, pure entertainer. They were the biggest band and still sell millions of albums worldwide. They lost the US after 1980s The Game but were huge internationally releasing album after album and huge tour after huge tour peaking in 1985s appearance at Live Aid and 1986s Magic tour.

Tragically Freddie Mercury would die of AIDS in 1991 but his legend and music lived on with posthumous releases, a Tribute concert (1992), and a return to the Top 10 for previous Number 1 Bohemian Rhapsody (Thanks to Waynes World). God Save the Queen.
