Rolling Stones

From England

Listed under : Rock

The first Rock band ? Maybe...
Started out as the "Blues Incorporation" playing in the Marquee club, and making their debut as the Rolling Stones in 1962 in the same Club .

With the image of being bad boys, they showed the world how to Rock, have fun and keep going. A career now spanning decades and generations of fans.

I've just had the lucky chance to see them in concert at the Stade de France in Paris, 9 July 2003, it was excellent, all the members cast an incredible energy and atmosphere on a full stadium. Sympathy for the Devil, Satisfaction, Start me up and many other classics, Gimme Shelter as an encore. I really enjoyed Keith's and Ron's guitar work. The show was spectacular with not a minute wasted. Hope they come back soon.

Rudolf : I'm sitting at home watching the DVD Four Licks from the last World tour, you have to give it to these guys, they are really what Rock music is about. OK so they are all now rich superstars making the money machine work, but give them credit, their music just really rocks. Pure inspiration from Blues (listen to Midnight Rambler), songs about the most important things in life... Love and Sex... Mr. Bush should get a hold of this.
Keith's guitar keeps it simple but with style. Ron's complicity is stunning, Mick's talent and leadership on stage is a lesson to many, Charlie's skill with the real basics in drum kits puts many to shame... Luv'em.
