Small Faces

From London, England

Listed under : Rock-1970

Gram :

  • Steve Marriott : Vocals/guitar
  • Ronnie Lane : Vocals/bass
  • Ian McLagan : vocals/organ
  • Kenney Jones : Drums
:

Came from London in 1965 with the single "What'cha gonna do about it". Hip Mods who were bang up to date, and, a singer (Steve Marriott) who probably had the greatest voice of that English scene.Loads more hits including: All or Nothing in 66, Itchycoo Park (67), Lazy Sunday and Tin Soldier amongst them. The band were massive in England, and are still regarded by many as the "Classic Mod Band" from the 60's scene.

The Small Faces were very much a "Mod Band", fresh in 1965, not of the earlier fast outdated "Mersey Beat" sound.
