Spandau Ballet

From England

Listed under : New wave-1980

Martin Milner: Bursting on the scene in the early 80s the boys, lead by Tony Hadley, shook up the music of the times with their pounding sing-along and synthesizer-rich songs. Good examples of their work are: "To cut a long story short", "Muscle bound,"Lifeline", "Communication" and "Gold." But they were not just a band to get you on your feet and next produced a ballad remembered the world over with "True," taken from the album of the same name. Like all of their New Wave contemporaries they also had one or two fashion statements to make so as well as making great sounds they also cut quite a figure.
