Kevin : Legendary British band, formed in December of 1969 by original singer David Byron (d- 1985), guitarist Mick Box (long time remaining member and leader) and keyboardist/songwriter Ken Hensley.

Went through numerous bass players and drummers in early 70s, including Mark Clarke (Colosseum, Billy Squier), Iain Clark, Paul Newton, Alex Napier, Nigel Olsson (Elton John)...Classic line-up from 72-late 74 w/ Box, Byron, Hensley, Gary Thain (b - d1976) and Lee Kerslake (who's still in Heep and played on first 2 Ozzy albums).

String of classic recordings during this era included Demons & Wizards, the Magicians Birthday, Live 73, Sweet Freedom... and such hits as Stealin, Easy Livin, the Wizard, Sweet Lorraine...

More changes in 75 w/ John Wetton (bass, ex King Crimson, pre Asia), and 76 with Trevor Bolder (bass, Ex Bowie's Spiders From Mars. Bolder remains in the band to this day). John Lawton (vocals, ex Lucifers Friend). this line up released 3 studio discs, most notably Innocent Victim in 77 (w/ the hit Free Me). More changes with John Sloman on vocals (ex Lone Star), Chris Slade on drums (ex MMEB), Gregg Dechert (keys). Revamped in 82 w/ Pete Goalby on vox (ex Trapeze), Bob Daisley on bass (ex Rainbow, Ozzy), John Sinclair on keys, Box, & Kerslake.

Released 3 albums, most notably 1982's Abominog (Trevor Bolder returned after a year). Goalby & Sinclair left in 86, Phil Lanzon joins on keys (ex Grand Prix, Sweet...remains in band to this day). Steve Fontaine (ex Joshua) joins on vocals for 1 US tour; replaced by Bernie Shaw (ex Grand Prix, Praying Mantis).

This line-up continues to this day and has released 4 studio discs and a number of Live albums, most notably Sea of Light (95), Sonic Origami (98) Future Echoes of the Past (Live, 2000) and The Magicians Birthday Party (Live, 02). Band continues to tour throughout Europe.
