Verve

From UK

Listed under : Rock 1991-1999

I think they were awesome. Urban hymns was a real rock album, hard and heavy, good guitar solos and vocal melodies. There is much influence from the Who. Good drumming and guitar work, plus great lyrics. It was a bad day when the Verve split.

Richard Ashcroft's solo stuff was pretty good, but very tamed.

    Line up of the group
  • Richard Ashcroft : vocals
  • Simon Jones : bass
  • Peter Salisbury : Drums (cool drummer)
  • Nick MacCabe : lead guitar
  • Simon Tong : Guitar/keyboards
